awnings and yawnings

the awning to go over adam's studio door arrived last night, so i helped him assemble and attach it this morning.  little thing was quite the pain, but it's up anyway!
and i'm happy with the outcome.  we wanted a clean, modern aesthetic that didn't stand out too drastically from the house design.

my mom's been asking about the other side of the garage, so here's what it looks like now:
there are still some lingering items of adam's that need to go and then it won't be so cluttered.  but overall everything fits (despite the tiny space) and is fairly well organized.  so, i am happy.

finally, in response to the fact that i should be in nyc this week.  thank GOD i am not.  it's gorgeous, warm and sunny here.  i believe they have snow on the ground there.

oh and a shot of the breezeway between the house and adam's studio.  this is his route to work every morning.  the rush hour traffic across the river stones is a nightmare!  takes him at least 2 seconds from door to door.
and as i was going back inside after taking these shots, i saw this little body peering from behind the frosted glass.  hi daisy!
now i'm off to take a nap.  feeling very sleepy this week!

The awning looks great and you have a lot more room for storage on the "other side" of the garage. Thanks for the pics.
